Welcome President Tabitha Miller!

May 1, 2024

Effective May 1, 2024, Dr. Tabitha Miller has commenced her official duties and responsibilities as the 10th President of Martin Community College (MCC). The College extends a warm welcome to Dr. Miller as she assumes this vital leadership position.

President Miller expresses pride in MCC as a standout educational institution, saying, "Martin Community College is one of the educational jewels in eastern North Carolina. We are the only college out of the 58 community colleges with an Equine program. Other programs offered that make us unique include Orthopaedic Technology, Solar Technician Certification, Fire Alarm Technician Training, Public Safety Administration, Apprentice Line Technician, and Physical Therapist Assistant. Our high school dual enrollment student population is first-class, with MCC earning #1 for transfer success out of all other community colleges in the state. With top-notch faculty and staff, our college is set to move forward and grow as we strengthen our relationships with the community and regional industry. When you get a moment, please come by. Join our book club, attend an event, work with our Small Business Center to start your own business, review our Continuing Education and Curriculum class schedules and see how Martin Community College can assist you in your lifelong learning journey. MCC is here for you. Every day is a good day to be a Martin Mustang!"

Dr. Derrick Wilkins, MCC Board of Trustees Chair, emphasizes the Board's endorsement as he welcomes President Miller, saying, "The MCC Board of Trustees welcomes President Miller. We offer her our unanimous support as she charts the next chapter for the College. Furthermore, we rally the support of the community and all stakeholders as the College moves from good to great."

President Miller's exceptional leadership will undoubtedly propel MCC into its next phase of greatness. Her unwavering commitment to educational excellence and serving our students and community is unparallelled. With President Miller's visionary guidance, we eagerly anticipate the transformative direction in which she will lead the College. This day marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for MCC.
