The College Welcomes Interim President Dr. Larry Keen

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Larry Keen to Martin Community College (MCC). Dr. Keen began his appointment as MCC's Interim President on February 1, 2024.

Dr. Keen served as President of Fayetteville Technical Community College for 15 years from 2007-2022 until his retirement. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development with the North Carolina Community College System in Raleigh. Recently, he served as Interim President of Alamance Community College.

A retired U.S. Army Reserve officer, Dr. Keen holds a doctoral degree in higher education from Oklahoma State University; a master's degree in business education from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas; and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Missouri State University.

The presidential search process is currently ongoing. Dr. Keen will serve as MCC's Interim President until such a time that a permanent president has been appointed. We look forward to Dr. Keen's leadership and guidance over these next few months.
