On February 28, Allison Stalls, MCC's Financial Aid Director, was honored as the Martin County Partner of the Year for her role in the TRIO partnership with Pitt Community College. This partnership offers support to students in need of assistance with completing their financial aid applications.
TRIO is a federal outreach program that serves students and the community and consists of eight programs targeted at serving first-generation college students, individuals with disabilities, and low income. TRIO strives to assist individuals with progressing through the academic pipeline (U.S. DOE).
Dr. Brian Busch, MCC's VP of Student Development Services, states that Mrs. Stalls has been a "steadfast advocate" for the TRIO partnership and has been "working diligently to strengthen the program's reach and impact in Martin County."
Dr. Busch expresses his appreciation by stating, "We are grateful for the way she supports students on their educational journey and proud to see her dedication recognized with this well-deserved honor."
Martin Community College seeks to build better futures by providing affordable, accessible, quality educational programs and workforce development in a student-centered environment in order to meet the community's needs.
MCC congratulates Allison Stalls on this amazing achievement!
