Introducing the Next NC Scholarship. Know what you're getting. Know where you're going.

The Next NC Scholarship is a state-funded program that combines with the Federal Pell Grant to provide full tuition for qualified students. The process is simple and makes education more affordable for eligible North Carolina students. There are no additional forms to fill out! Just submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Click here: FAFSA

What are the requirements?

  • North Carolina residents who are eligible for in-state tuition
  • High school graduates or high school equivalency completers
  • Students from a household with an annual Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $80,000 or less
  • Enrolled in an eligible undergraduate curriculum program for the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Take at least six credit hours per semester (part-time students may receive a partial award)
  • Satisfactorily meet the academic progress standards of Martin Community College
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): FAFSA
